done-done-DONE!
Wednesday, November 2nd, 2005

I finished the revisions for RD # 3, yeay! I also finished my first review for the library journal and got it sent off, double yeay! I should be done with the second one by tomorrow. (I hope, I hope, cross fingers and toes)

I received my first book to review for Romance Divas and I already finished half of it. It’s a very spicy one, which I will be reviewing under a pen name. I’ll let you know when it goes up over on their website.

Picked a book
Wednesday, November 2nd, 2005

So, I’m teaching a class next semester at my university on “information literacy” which is way less boring than it sounds, I promise! I had to pick a book for the class; I had to evaluate textbooks, ie “does this book have what I want,” “Textbook A is easier to grasp than Textbook B,” but “Textbook B is less expensive and that does count.” It took me a whole month to find the right book, but I did pick one. How cool is that? I, Crystal-of-the-Library-Pimps, will teach a college course. To actual students! And I picked a textbook and everything; so, it’s way official now.

The whole process is still totally geeking me out!

Doesn’t it scare you that someone who calls herself a “Library Pimp” could potentially be influencing the youth of America?

And they wonder why the world is swirling down the toilet. Mwah-ha-ha-ha!

The day after the sugar rush
Tuesday, November 1st, 2005

I ate too much candy yesterday. They had a bucket at the reference desk and I worked the late shift and everyone else was out trick or treating. Of course, I call that entrapment. It just can’t be legal, I tell you. So, I really couldn’t help myself. Or rather, I helped myself.

“Just one,” I said. “What can it hurt?”

But, the first one was so good and then so was the second and third and… Well, you get the whole sordid picture. Now, I’m paying the price for my misdeeds as God and the Tooth Fairy intended. I swear I’ll never do it again! (Or at least not until Valentine’s Day)

In writing news: I’m about 3/4 done with review #1 and 1/2 done with review #2. Yeay! Then I can get back to some real writing.
