I’m currently in the process of designing a website for my writing (I’ll even have excerpts, so you can decide if my writing sucks right up front!). Luckily, they taught me html coding in library school, so the actual building of the site won’t be a problem. Easy peasy then, right? Not! Now, I have to consider a few things. Should I make it match my blog? Or should I change my blog to match my site? Do they even need to match? Should the site be modern, flirty, sexy, racy, simple/elegant, graphic-loaded, etc? I have to think about these things! I want it to be appealing to a wide range of audiences, of course, but there’s a lot of thought going into this. Ugh!
I’ll let you know when I launch this sucker into cyberspace. Wish me luck!
