Valentine’s Day Book!

I release my Valentine’s Day book from Cobblestone Press today! I’m so excited about this. This is my first romantic comedy, but still manages to have all my usual angst and tortured characters. Lots of fun!

Big Girls Don’t Die

Six months ago, Andre St. James turned Cynthiana’s life upside down by turning her into a vampire. He insists they’re meant to be together forever–literally–but Cyn has her doubts.

His take-no-prisoners approach to life isn’t what she calls a great foundation for a healthy relationship. When she ends up stranded on the side of the road on her way to Las Vegas for Valentine’s Day, will Andre be able to come to the rescue–and convince her they can live happily forever and ever and ever after?

Read an excerpt and buy it here!

Come chat with me at 7PM Central time in the Cobblestone Press Chatroom! I hope to see you all there!

Trolley Square

Normally, I wouldn’t mention something like this on my blog, but since it happened a few blocks from my house and everyone at work is a bit shaken up by it, especially my students, I thought I’d say something. I got several emails and messages and yes, I’m okay and no, I don’t know anyone who was hurt or killed in the Trolley Square Mall shooting yesterday.

Here’s a CNN article about what went down: Article.

So take a moment of silence for the friends, family, and loved ones of those who were killed.

Thanks.

Sunday Funnies

This quiz is creepily representative of the music I listened to in 1996. Weird.

Your 1996 Theme Song Is: Ironic by Alanis Morisette

It’s like rain on your wedding day
It’s a free ride when you’ve already paid
It’s the good advice that you just didn’t take
Who would’ve thought … it figures
What’s Your 1996 Theme Song?

Sold my first historical romance!

Woohoo! I sold my first historical romance to The Wild Rose Press today. It’s a Crusades story (because I’m not a Regency girl, you know?)

It’s called A LESSON IN PASSION.

Here’s what it’s about:

Lady Eleanor has waited three years to see her husband. When their king called him away to the Crusades she’d prayed it wasn’t the last time she’d see her love again. Sir Gavin sent home riches from the Holy Lands: tapestries, spices, oils. But tucked between the lush fabrics is a wicked book that depicts lovers entwined. Exotic ecstacies a lady could never even imagine, but Eleanor spends her lonely nights dreaming of Gavin pleasuring her in such ways. When Gavin returns he seems cold, distant, and Eleanor fears she’s lost the only man she’s ever loved. Using the book as her guide, can she teach her lord a lesson in passion?

Linny and Suz

I thought I’d stop from my usual ramble (or maybe just ramble in a slightly different direction) and talk about what I’m reading now.

For whatever reason, I’m on a suspense kick with the reading. And these babies have
been in my To Be Read pile for, like, ever.

Linda Howard’s Drop Dead Gorgeous

This is the sequel to To Die For, which is Linda’s first attempt at chick-litty romantic suspense. One of my fellow librarians suggested this one, so I’m off to read it this weekend.

Meanwhile, I’m half-way through this romantic suspense by Suzanne Brockmann. It book one million in her Navy SEALs Troubleshooters series. I freaking love these books. And Loribelle Hunt will kill me when she reads this and sees that i haven’t finished it yet when it came out in, like, August. I’m so gonna get a call off of this. It’s on the what I’m reading now list though, so without further ado…

Healthy Choices

Today you’ll get a very short post. Sorry about that. I’m not feeling well today. I had a nasty run in with ORGANIC chocolate and my body plainly said “No, bitch. Bad!”

I guess I’m not supposed to take the healthier option when it comes to my candy. My body only likes the reeeeeally bad for me junk.

Go figure.

Anyway, enough about me. Happy Thursday!

Hump Day Hotties and Shadows

I’m blogging later today over at Shadows of Passion. Check it!

Hump Day Hotties is a Superman Extravaganza! We have Clark and Superman shots for all the hotties who have ever played Superman (as far a I could find. Mad Madam M could correct me on this one.)

The original, George Reeves. They’re making a movie about him called Hollywoodland. Apparently truth is stranger than fiction.

I’m not saying anything. Just gonna sit here and drool. Tom Welling is my favorite Superman.

The newbie, Brandon Routh. Haven’t brought myself to watch the movie yet.

The most famous Superman of all time, Christopher Reeve.

The television spinoff, Lois and Clark.
