This book is, hands down, no question, my favorite book of all time. It could be because the artwork is awesome. It could be that I was a young wild thing as a munchkin myself. It could be because my aunt read it to my brothers and me every night before bed, and I can still hear her voice in my head every time I read the battered, cover-falling-off old copy.
And now they’re making a movie of it. I’m half-intrigued to see what they do with it, and half-horrified that they’re going to mess with my favorite book this way.
Here’s the trailer. It doesn’t tip me one way or the other on the intrigue-horror scale. I’ll just have to put my big girl panties on and go out there and see it for myself.

I was wondering what you thought about it…
Visually it looks stunning, but I’m just not sure how they are going to turn it into a full length feature film. I’ll keep my fingers crossed!

It does look pretty, but I’m on the fence about how they’d change the story to make it a whole movie. We shall see.
