I got my author copies of On The Prowl, so naturally, I’m going to give some away. Autographed, of course. Just to make this super simple, all you have to do to enter for one of the books is to leave me a comment on this post. I’ll pick a couple of winners and announce on Tuesday of next week.
Here’s what the book’s about:
Meet the Cruz brothers. They look human—except for the golden sheen their eyes take when they’re aroused beyond control…and the way their claws come out when it’s time to play rough. They’re Panthers, ancient shapeshifters, and their survival depends on mating to bring out their wild sides…
UNDENIABLE
When Antonio, the strong, sexy new leader of the Panther pride, meets luscious Solana in a dark alleyway, their passion lights up the night. But she’s an outcast, an impossible mate—and her touch makes him lose all control…
IRRESISTIBLE
Ex-model and businesswoman Andrea doesn’t need anyone—until she meets Miguel, who tempts her mind with daring games and teases her body with dark, forbidden please she can’t resist…
INDESCRIBABLE
Wild twins Ricardo and Diego do everything together—and their women appreciate the teamwork. Until shy Isabel takes refuge in their pride, and both want to claim her. Of course, sometimes two mates are better than one…

So, I am currently all a quiver with anticipation. In about 45 minutes, I’m heading to the airport to pick up the Mad Madam M. She’s flying in for a long weekend and we’re headed to Moab to see Arches National Park.
I’m actually putting on make up to go pick her up. Not that she’ll care, but she’s on vacation and that’s means pictures. I wouldn’t want people to see her heterosexual life partner as a raggedy hag! I mean, if our family’s make us play lesbians on TV, we should at least be super cute and enviable ones, right?
Eden Bradley has a new one that releases this month called A 21st Century Courtesan. This book, it is awesome. You must buy it. I mean it. You must. Instead of my usual blurbed out pimage, I have the book trailer for you.
I rarely dream. I may have mentioned this on my blog before, but maybe not. I go to sleep and I wake up when the alarm goes off and I feel rested, but there’s no dreams in between. Also no nightmares, so it’s not a lose-lose situation.
People always freaking say (which gets annoying after the millionth time), “Well, you really do dream, you have to, everyone does, you just can’t remember.” This is usually delivered with a slightly pitying and condescending look, as though 1) any moron should know that, and 2) I’m somehow deficient for not recalling my dreams. I’ve tried all the tricks and mental games to try to remember my dreams, but no dice, so frankly all those people can stuff it since if I can’t remember my dreams, I’m not going to count them as having happened at all. So, there.
I do remember my dreams maybe 2-3 times a year. Same with nightmares, but other than that, nada. Which is fine with me, really. Some people with lots of nightmares would probably like to be in the same non-remembering boat that I’m in.
In any case, this leads to my rather bizarre morning. I wasn’t dreaming per se (though maybe that’s what it was, who knows?) because nothing else was happening except that I kept hearing my alarm go off. Like, every fifteen minutes for the hour and a half before it actually went off. I’d start to nod back to sleep and bam, bells ringing in my head to let me know it’s time to get up.
I admit it. Yes, yes, I do. I like Star Trek. I love boldly going where no man has gone before (which sounds rather pervy–I like that, too). I’m a Next Generation girl myself. Riker, Picard, Geordie, Data, Worf, Troi, O’Brien, Guinan, even Dr. Crusher. Liked them all–it was a great ensemble cast.
I have a love-hate relationship with the other Star Treks and never really watched much of them, but I still adore the awesomeness that is the concept of Star Trek.
Now, when I say I love Star Trek, I mean I love watching the show and movies. I’ve never been to a convention, and while I’m not opposed to going, I will never wear a costume. Just putting that out there.
However, when the Mad Madam M sent me the trailer for the upcoming Star Trek beginnings movie, I knew it was time to come out of the closet and share.
