“Naughty or Nice” in Under the Covers anthology, by Crystal Jordan
Dayna Sharp has the perfect job, the perfect man…the perfect life. So why is the prospect of marrying Mr. Wonderful so perfectly boring? It’s a question Dayna can’t shake when she brings her fiance home to meet her spectacularly un-boring family–and finds herself pursued by a bad-boy bearing gifts that could burn a hole in more than her Christmas stocking…

What Your Nose Says About You |
![]() You are detail oriented and attentive. You are a perfectionist. You are a nosey person and a bit of a snoop. You can’t help but be curious! You are optimistic and trusting. You expect the best from people. |
Today, I’m over at the Samhain Cafe Yahoo Loop with Eden Bradley, Lilli Feisty, and RG Alexander giving away excerpts and free copies of ours books from 7-8 EST.
We’ll also be teasing you with some sneak peeks at an anthology we’re writing together that releases next year!
Come visit!
I’m having an awesome writing week. I’m also having an awesome work week. Normally, these are separate and very distinct events, but everything is cranking right along at top speed.
I’ve got all my lecture notes for the library research classes I’m teaching in the next couple of weeks.
None of the meetings I have to attend this week are the ones that make me want to staple things to people’s foreheads.
I’m going shopping this weekend to bond with a co-worker. Hey, this is work related! Totally.
I’ve got an awesome outline for Every Witch Way and am trucking right along with making my page counts every day.
I have two outlines for shorter ebooks hammered out and ready to go when I get a minute to write them.
I’ve got my roomies for the RT Convention hammered out. Hotel reservations have been handled. Costumes are already being discussed/planned for the parties.
All in all? Good week, people. Good week.
The Mad Madam M has adopted a cute little puppy. And I helped, even from waaaaaay over in this other time zone. I found the ad for little Riley online and said, “M, this is the dog for you.”
M goes to visit, and poof! I get a call, “Crys, I have a dog.”
So heeeeeere’s Riley! Welcome to the family!

So, I’m nearing the half-way point in my weight loss goal. I’m also about to get an advance check. Both of these things inspire me to buy myself a gift. A very nice, very expensive gift.
Usually when I get an advance check, I go for something electronic. A digital camera, a new laptop (very practical gift considering I need it to write), a new cell phone.
This time? I’m going for footwear. Normally, I’m not much for shoes. I actually prefer to go barefoot, clad in nothing more than my tattoo and a cute shade of nail polish. But fall and then her bitchier sister winter will be upon us shortly, so when the evil Lilli Feisty showed me the most beautiful, awesome, fabulous pair of boots ever invented (that look remarkably like, but not quite, a pair she owns that I have been drooling over for years) I knew this was it. The Gift. The One for me. She sent me a link and my inner toddler came screeching forth with a gleeful “mine, Mine, MINE!”

Today is about things that give me a happy. Why? Because I said so and it’s my blog. So here we go.
1) My commute today was super fast. And the parking lot was empty, so I got a primo spot.
2) The perfume I bought in the French Quarter smells delightful today.
3) I’m re-reading a good book on my breaks today, All The Queen’s Men by Linda Howard.
4) The worst of my teaching load is done for the month. Woot!
5) My outline for my current work in progress, Every Witch Way, is going really well.
6) Deflowering pretty angels.
I didn’t watch the Emmys, but M sent me this little link of wildly exciting joy.
Captain Hammer and Dr. Horrible. Nathan Fillion and Neal Patrick Harris. Man, I love this stuff!
