You Are 76% Peaceful

You are a very peaceful person. All is good in your world, no matter what’s going on.
Occasionally you let your problems get to you, but you generally remain upbeat.
Your inner strength is inspirational – much more so than you may realize.
4 Cups from Coffee Time!

In awesome news, my holiday antho with Lorie O’Clare and PJ Mellor, UNDER THE COVERS, got 4 cups from Coffee Time Romance Reviews. How sweet is that?

Here’s the lovely bits about my contribution to the book:

Naughty or Nice

Dayna is bringing her fiancé home to meet her eccentric family over the holidays. What could go wrong? She has the perfect life, perfect job and even the perfect man. So why is she questioning all that after seeing Jake, her brother’s best friend again?

Jake has had the hots for Dayna for as long as he can remember. But he has always maintained his distance because of his friendship with her brother. But he knows this guy she has brought home is not right for her and is willing to prove it.

The sparks fly between Dayna and Jake. A simple trip home turns into much more than that for these friends and the life Dayna thought she wanted when some pieces of the past she never knew are uncovered.

Great story. I love the banter between the characters along with the growth and troubles they have. It makes them feel very real. It shows that even good can surface from the bad things in life.

Hmm…what to do? What to do?

So, I just sold “Believe in Me,” the second in my Unbelievable series, and I’m contemplating taking a week or two off of writing Every Witch Way–the current work in progress for Kensington Aphrodisia–to tackle the third and final story in the series, “Make Me Believe”, which is Mason and Celia’s book.

I really love these two. I knew they had to have their own book before I was even done writing the first half of “If You Believe,” but it was my Samhain editor, Bethany Morgan, who told me Jericho the Guardian Angel needed his own book. Once she said that, bam!, “Believe in Me” was born. And not just born, but insisting on coming before Mason and Celia’s book. Jericho’s been patient long enough about getting his happy ever after.

So, this story, it’s talking to me. I’m in the world, I’m in the groove, but really…it’s Every Witch Way that has the deadline. “Make Me Believe” can be turned in whenever I’m ready. Or whenever Bethany pokes and prods and demands I hurry the hell up so she can read the book–uh, I mean, until she reminds me my readers might want the series finished before the end of the century. Always thinking of the readers, my editor. She’s good like that.

So, I’m torn. What to do…what to do? Hmm. I’ll have to ponder a bit more.

Sold again!

I just found out that the sequel to “If You Believe” has sold to Samhain. Yay! My Unbelievable series continues!

This one is called “Believe in Me,” and here’s a preliminary, unedited (i.e. mistakes are all mine) blurb for it:

Tori Chambers is Cedarville, Oregon’s biggest town gossip. An old biddy who knows everyone’s business—all the little secrets everyone tries to hide—and meddles in it as often as she can. If only the town knew her biggest secret. She’s not old and not a gossip. She’s a guardian angel. And not just any guardian angel, but one who has to help people find their soul mates. She’s spent the last year trying to get her latest assignment, firefighter Mason Delacroix, hooked up with local hairstylist Celia Occam. Tori’s holding up her end of the deal, but Celia’s guardian angel is dropping the ball in a major way.

That’s where Jericho steps in. After getting Celia’s best friend to fall for her soul mate, he’s sent to replace Celia’s guardian angel.

The only problem? Jericho and Tori have a history of their own that just might make this assignment her first failure. He was the one man who’d ever made her second guess herself, and she hadn’t stopped doubting since the day they’d parted. They knew each other back when they were humans, back when they’d been destined to find love, back when their own guardian angels had failed them. Now the two of them have to deal with each other and all the things they never said all those years ago. They have to find a way to get along and work together—or face an eternity of consequences.

They have to learn, once and for all, to believe in themselves. And each other. And love.

I don’t know why, but this Leann Rimes song has been stuck in my head non-stop for two days. I like the song, but sheesh! Maybe I just need to pass it on, so here! Enjoy!
