Summer Solstice by Eden Bradley
This summer is going to be twice as hot…
The view from Leigh’s front porch was never this nice. In fact, her hunky new neighbor is sparking all kinds of naughty ideas about how to beat the heat. Much to her delight, the feeling is mutual—as long as they keep things light. Her divorce left her a little lonely, but far from needy.
Jared doesn’t plan to spend much time in his new place before jetting off on his next photojournalism assignment. Leigh’s classic, California blonde looks are any man’s fantasy. A little flirting, a little playful, neighborly car washing, and it isn’t long until their summer fling is in full swing.
Neither can imagine the sex being any hotter—until Jared’s sometime roommate and lover, Matteo, comes to town. In the arms of two men, Leigh brings her ultimate fantasy into scorching reality.
Jared revels in the chance to command his two lovers’ every move, but when he gets the call for his next overseas gig, he’s not so sure he’s ready for the fireworks to end. And even as Leigh gives her two lovers the most precious gift—their freedom—she wonders how she’ll find the strength to say goodbye.
Warning: Hot M/M/F ménage, sex in public places (sort of—read it and you’ll see!), every possible orifice filled (some simultaneously), a big, sexy, bossy alpha, an equally hot beta and a little spanking for good measure. Because let’s face it, who doesn’t need a little spanking now and then?

Well, the Professor Moriarty is coming to visit this week, so don’t expect a lot of posting. He’s going to keep me busy. Boys are so demanding that way. Hee.

In preparation of my enforced time off, I’ve been running around like mad trying to get stuff done. Cleaning house, taking two…um…three boxes to the used bookstore, prep work for the classes I’m teaching this semester at the university, dusting, vacuuming, scrubbing the bathroom, mopping the kitchen, fluffing the cushions on my new couch…oh, and writing the sequel to “Between Lovers,” the novella in Sexy Beast 9, which comes out later this month.

You Are a Pina Colada
|

You are a decadent hedonist. It’s not enough that your drink is sugary, it’s got to be creamy too!
You are an avowed foodie, and you believe that life’s too short for low-fat anything or cheap liquor.
So you may drink pina coladas all night in style, but no one better ever dare serve you one that came from a mix.
You can spot a knock off from a mile away. As long as you are served the best, you’re as luscious and mellow as a pina colada.

But here’s the initial look for the new living room. Or the new couch, anyway. The chair is still being built by the factory, ‘specially for me and everything. It’ll be here in two weeks or so.
The male one, Professor Moriarty, says it’s “cute and girly.” I’m just gonna take that as a compliment, though I’m not entirely certain he meant it as one. The painting was not his cup of tea when I picked it out. Ah, well!
And since it’s a work in progress, ignore any mess you might see in the picture, okay?

Today is the official launch of the first issue of the Journal of Popular Romance Studies! This has been a huge labor of love on the part of so many people, and I’m pretty proud to have been a part of getting it launched. Not a huge part, but still. I was there for the show. I could say I’d tell my grandkids, but that would mean I had to have kids first and, um, no. So…anyway! Go check out the first edition of awesome. One of the articles even mentions the Smutketeers. See if you can figure out which one. Go forth and feel romantically smart!

I critiqued this book for Kate Pearce and it was amazing. You need to run out to buy it, for real!

First in a sexy new series that takes a bite out of the court of King Henry VIII…
Desperate to defeat King Richard III and gain the English crown, Henry Tudor made a pact with the Druids that bound him and his heirs to the Druid’s deadly struggle against the Vampires. Ever since, the Llewellyns, an ancient Vampire slaying family, have been in the permanent employ of the monarchy.
Now Henry VIII is on the throne, and his father’s bargain has almost been forgotten. Until corpses drained of blood start turning up in the most inappropriate of places, including the king’s bedchamber. But are these people the victims of the Vampires-or of the Druids?
To save the king from a nameless assassin, Rosalind Llewellyn, Vampire hunter extraordinaire, must form an uneasy alliance with a known Druid slayer. Sir Christopher Ellis hails from a family that has protected the Vampires for centuries, yet Rosalind has no choice but to rely on his help. And with her life threatened and her loyalty tested, Rosalind may even have to acknowledge the unthinkable. This sworn enemy may be her soul mate.

Her first release with a New York publisher, which may mean nothing to a non-writer, but trust me it’s a big deal.

In the Big Easy, there’s a legend women long for: a sexual voodoo spirit who can fulfill their darkest fantasies. And in these three steaming-hot novellas, he helps three New Orleans couples achieve the ultimate satisfaction…
Release Me
When Allegra heads down to New Orleans to heal her wounds, she never expects to lose her heart to such a quiet, troubled man as Rousseau. She’s even less prepared for the scorching, sexual spirit within him—and what he can do to her…
Reclaim Me
Ben has loved Michelle as long as he can remember. But his beautiful artist has a way of running away from life—and what the pair could be. Leave it to the infamous sexual spirit to help Ben prove to Michelle where she belongs: in his embrace…
Redeem Me
It’s All Saints’ Day, the one day the voodoo spirit can walk the world in the flesh. When he bumps into Bethany, she might just be the reincarnation of a girl he once loved. Passion ignites, but can he overcome past mistakes and fall in love again?
Buy it here!
And she’s got a contest going over at the Smutketeers. Check it out here!

So, because I’m still sickly, and definitely was this past weekend, I had to miss out on a friend’s bridal shower. I’m so very sad about this, because she’s a good friend from library school and I think and her fiance and just terrific. However, it really is bad form to get the bride and all her attendants ill, you know?
So…wah! That’s my whine for the week. I hate being sick, and I hate even more that being sick made me miss out on good times with good friends. Luckily, the Professor Moriarty was available to make me feel better and keep me entertained, but I’m still bummed out.
I’m making it to the wedding next month, come hell or high water. Just say no to sick!

The Chocolate Oracle Says You’re Classy
|

You are sophisticated, modern, and high class.
Your taste is refined, but you are not picky.
You are often the first to try something new.
You are down to earth and lovable.
A true friend, you’re very tolerant and understanding.
In fact, your friends’ biggest problem is that they don’t like each other!
You love to be the center of attention. You enjoy entertaining your friends.
You feel lost when no one is interested in you… You’re too interesting to be ignored.
