I’m blogging over at The Novelty Girls today, and I want to tell you about a fundraiser going on over at Romance Divas. How to enter is in bold, but you can enter a raffle for a crapload of awesome books (including my entire backlist). Plus, the money goes to a good cause–a scholarship to send someone to RWA nationals to pitch their book to agents and editors.

Announcing the first annual Romance Divas RWA Conference Scholarship Fundraiser!
The board has always hoped to make enough money to fund a scholarship program for one lucky Diva-in-need to make it to the RWA conference each year. Unfortunately, we still aren’t making enough to even make RD self-supporting (we’re still working on that!), but we still wanted to help one of our members to reach their goal of going to conference to pitch their work to agents and editors and move forward in their career.
The recipient of this scholarship will be chosen each year based on the following criteria:
They are an active member at Romance Divas, giving as much back to this community as they take from it.
They have a quality, completed ms that’s ready to pitch at conference, making going to RWA that much more crucial to where they are in their career.
They couldn’t make it to conference otherwise due to financial pressures.
In order to raise money for this endeavor, a number of published authors have generously donated their books for an opportunity drawing, and a number of brand new books have been donated by various Diva members. Many of the print books are signed by the authors!
We will have two types of drawings. The first is for the Print Book Basket. Currently we have 31 print books in various genres, plus gobs of goodies, like book thongs, bookmarks, magnets and a few items especially from Romance Divas! Entries for the Print Book Basket are $5.00 US each.
