I’m over at the Novelty Girls talking about fear and the conversation I had with my agent when she called to tell me Kensington just offered me another 3 book deal.

So, yay! New books are forthcoming. I’m really excited!

On my way back from my interview, so I have a quiz for you. What’s your personality at 35,000 feet? I have to say, the bit about foreign languages? Sooooo not true.

Well, if you read the title of this post, you probably sensed that I’m a woman on the edge. And, man, are you so right!

A few weeks ago, I had a telephone interview with a library in northern California. I wasn’t sure how it went…but they called while I was at Nationals to schedule a follow-up interview and they’re flying me out on Thursday and Friday for an all day interview Friday, plus dinner the night before.

Also while at Nationals, I got an email from a library in southern California saying they wanted a telephone interview. So, during the insanity that was RWA, I had an interview. I was pretty spastic and very sure I’d never hear back from them. Well, they contacted me last week to set up an in-person fly-out interview, too. Which means next weekend (going a bit early to scope out the area and hang with So. Cali friends) and the 25 & 26th, I’ll be at that interview.

While it’s good that these places are interested in me, I’m also trying to prep for the beginning of the semester here (because I have to be ready if neither offer or I don’t like either of them), plus writing the three proposals my agent wants, plus writing another Spice Brief submission, plus getting ready for my first NY release on the 26th (SEXY BEAST is coming! Oh my God, hold me!!), plus having to schedule all these travel plans, plus prepping for the actual all freaking day interviews that academia requires.

I’m a little busy right now.

The last day, Saturday, started with the Samhain breakfast.

Where it turned out, Shelli Steven’s dress was eaten by the escalator.

Karen Erickson saved her from being eaten too. *my hero*

Anna J. Evans took it all in stride.

Then I filmed an Author Talk interview with Gena Showalter and Jill Monroe. It’ll be up later this month.

And by the end of the day, we were all wiped, lounging in the bar, and ready to head home.

But there’s always time for one last cleavage shot.

Friday is all about the publisher parties at RWA. And I went to the Berkley and Harlequin parties. I ran into my agent, Lucienne (See! She exists! She knows me and everything!).

Got Loribelle to show me her tats.

Hung out with the Divas.

And then helped a bunch of them crash the Harlequin party.

P.S. I really wish I’d had my camera in my hand when I got out on the dance floor with Lucienne. It would have been awesome footage!

Thursday, the day of insanity. I met with my agent and then MC’d the Passionate Ink Party (which I was too nervous to take pics of). Then took pictures with my girls at the Kensington publisher party.

Then on to the Diva Dinner. The Mad Madam M came to hang out with me that day.

And with Divas, it’s all about naughty fun, shoes, and cleavage.

And did I mention the cleavage?

Wednesday, first day of official conferencing. Went to the home of the Maltese Falcon with the Divas for brunch.
