Background
Homo Sapiens are extinct. Four species of altered humans still survive: bears, dragons, tigers, and merpeople. Each adapted to the inhabitable planets discovered before the Earthan sun’s supernova. Genetic experimentation turned each species into a shape-shifter, or wereanimal. While not the traditional concept of wereanimals that ancient Earthans had imagined, they can change at will between animal and humanoid forms. Unlike the myths of old Earth, their human form does not completely hide their genetically altered state.

Alysius: Home planet of the three werebear clans. To avoid predators, they live in the icy northern reaches of the planet. Shares a solar system with Aquatilis.
Aquatilis: Home planet of the merpeople. The world is covered in H2O, but the air above the water is unbreathable CO2. Merpeople exist in domes beneath the ocean. Shares a solar system with Alysius.
Atlantis: Capital city of Aquatilis. Eight sectors make up the octopus shaped city, with a main dome at city center, including: Undine, Titan, Poseidon, Thetis, Nereus, Aegean, Sedna, and Tangaroa.
Dead Sea: An underground ocean that provides water to desalinate for Vesperi.
Dune racer: A small motorcycle-like speeder that skims over the deserts of Vesperi and Harena.
Harena: Home planet of the weredragons. A desert planet with two suns. Neighboring solar system with Vesperi.
Harim: A three-way mating for weredragons.
High Den: Home of the Brown Bear Clan of Alysius.
Gila Beast: Enormous rideable reptiles on Harena, named for the Ancient Earthan lizards Gila Monsters.
Glowlight: Solar-powered lighting on Vesperi.
Loremaster/mistress: A teacher and keeper of records, history, legend, myth, and lore for the Bear Clans of Alysius.
Meadow Den: Home of the Black Bear Clan of Alysius.
Moonlight Market: The marketplace to trade on Vesperi.
Moonrise: The beginning of the weretiger waking period where it is safe to venture outside. The three moons of the planet block the sun and make it possible for humans to survive on a planet that is too close to the sun. Also a way to mark the passage of time, i.e. first moonrise, second moonrise, third moonrise.
Nude Gardens: Carved nude statues that populate an area of the lower gardens of the Vesperi palace.
Pacifica: Former “lost” city of Aquatilis. Four sectors make up the octopus shaped city, with a main dome at city center, including: Nereids, Enuma, Ceta, and Matsu.
Predator: Large gray and black striped animal that preys on the Bear Clans of Alysius.
Rim Ranch: Sea cow ranches situated on a volcanic rim between Pacifica and Atlantis.
Saltwater silk: Expensive fabric created on Aquatilis as an export product.
Sea cow: A colloquial misnomer for manatees and dugongs that make up the major protein food source for merpeople.
Sea Den: Home of the Arctic Bear Clan of Alysius.
Sea skimmer: A helicopter shaped underwater form of transportation used on Aquatilis.
Sproket: A multi-functional tool.
The Mermaid’s Purse: A tailor shop in Atlantis that specializes in saltwater silk garments.
Turn: A standard year. Varies for each of the four inhabited planets.
Vesperi: Home of the weretigers. A small desert and grassland planet that would be too close to the sun for human survival if not for the three moons to block the light. Neighboring solar system with Harena.
